I had the dealer install my Honda hardtop when I bought it. I believe it's held on by clamps just like their windshields. I imagine most hardtop roofs for the P5 will be the same way. The only difference would be if you want it made out of a polymer (Honda Roof) or metal.
OEM hardtop very easy to unclamp. But consider its added height if you ever search for an enclosed trailer. When ordering my trailer, added 6 inches taller, and a drop down floor at the door. 27 inch tires raised it even more. A good thing is that the added height allowed me to fit a audio pod and 2 way radio on the ROPS.
IMO the Honda hard top is the way to go. Others look a little sleeker but don't jive well with other accessories and some have complained of rattles. I've beat the hell out of mine and it has some battle scars but no cracks or anything.
LOVE my Honda hardtop. Easy on, easy off ... space underneath, as stated.
I can measure tomorrow the height with my new 27s, 12" wheels and Honda hard top. It's 72.5 without...
I went with the EMP hardrop. Wish they had the aluminum diamond plate i used on my Polaris Ranger 400 HO but still happy with their products. Easy to install or remove. My trails are tight and covered with big branches. So far no issues.
