Hatfield McCoy trails

Heading to West Virginia on the 12th of August and wondering if anyone else will be there. We are staying at the Rockhouse Lodge and it's our first trip to Hatfield McCoy. Any tips, or gotta see things. We are staying for a week.

Next year my youngest son will be full throttle.And I want to plan a trip. We want to stay some where we can get up and go ride

Well we are here and one day of riding in. Trails are very technical, but fun. I'm used to rail beds and snowmobile trails, going 100 miles in day. Yesterday we went 51 miles and it took 7 hours. Lots of fun!

I will do a full write up when we get back, including miles and cost. Staying in Man at Rockhouse Depot. Been riding Rockhouse and Devil Anse.

My wife is a teacher and super organized, so she is recording our day trips with a marker on the trail map including miles and hours.

Day three, pride check. Had to turn around, this thing can do a lot, but it's no rock crawler. Probably could have winched and stacked rocks, but this is a relaxing vacation with my wife, not a beat down run with the boys. I will meet you again trail 37, just you wait.

Very nice. We are planning to be there after Labor Day. Was considering doing Pocahontas trail. Anybody have any pointers?

The biggest thing I keep hearing here is "oh, no spare tire, good luck." I haven't needed one yet, but wouldn't mind having one in the rig.

Yep If you got a sxs and leave the comforts of home...You better get one.....
Fellow on here called Moses I believe.
He makes some of the nicest,well made spare tire carrier/ bed extender.
