Headset based intercom help?!?

Is there a way to add remote PTT buttons to the Rugged Radios H80 Double Talk or the Gemini-5 intercom (or similar setup)? I want an intercom for my UTV, one without a permanent unit installed, and I want a steering wheel mounted PTT button for safety & convenience. I very rarely have passengers, I don’t need to add 2-way radio or music, and I want to easily remove the intercom when not needed. Two headsets wired together will be OK for the limited use they'll see, $600 - $1000 setups with permanent install are just gonna waste money and space.
