P1000m5 Dragon21's build

Dragon21 submitted a new Garage Item:

Here We Go Again... 1000-5 This Time

Well, now that the 700-4 is gone and the 1000-5 is home. its time to get started on the build again. I really try to go slow and pace myself. however that doesnt always work that way. When i got it, it had roof and windshield as part of the deal.

Ordered a winch and mount, synthetic rope and fairlead for it, HL snorkel, Amazon switch plate, fuse box, 100amp disconnect.

still plan to get a honda front bumper, lightbars, and soundbar.. when money permits.

debating about dual battery setup... not sure if ill do that or not. I dont tend to use radio or lights when its not running.

emailed them today and they asked for pictures.

I just took it off and saw that the nut in the bottom of the winch appears to be stripped. The bolt that fell out i found and it has the threads from the nut on it.

KFI Mount?
I found when I mounted mine, I needed longer bolts in either the front or rear 2 holes. Had barely any engagement of threads due to the mount being doubled up.

Yea, I replaced the 2 that were too short. I think they were the ones in the back though. Those stayed in fine.

installed highlifter lift last night, piece of cake. Started on the skid plates. Gotta drill, tap, and mount the outside of the center section and do the front section then that will be done. Winch should be here today so hopefully i can get that behind me and put my bumper back on too

wiped some of the dust off and went for a short ride. Also go the wife to drive it. She wasn't a fan of this one as much as the 700. Learning the gas pedal is a little harder when going slow.

Got my Tusk Warthog tires in yesterday and mounted today. They are 29” tall. We’re measuring just over 28” when they were mounted. Inflated them to max psi to help stretch them. Will air them down to around 10-11 tomorrow. Gonna have to get spacers since the rears might run at full drop with the Highlifter lift

Got my wheel spacers on. 1” super atv on all 4 corners. Decided to take it for a quick spin and thought it was gonna rip my skid plate off. Was rubbing bad. So tried to heat it up and bend it, but I’m impatient so I cut it off. Should be good now.
