Hey guys,
I recently added C-Fab arms and 4" portals with 30% hear reduction. My idle is normal when I first start it up, but after I drive it a few feet and and stop again it idles at 2,000 rpm.

Any suggestions as to why I'm experiencing this high idle?

I found out by mistake, it would start in gear if you had the brake pressed pretty hard, thought that was pretty neat until mine starting idling at high RPM's, quit doing that and it hasn't occurred since?

Interesting, it may have something to do with the brakes then... I currently don't have the back brakes hooked up. I have them capped off at the fitting because SuperATV didn't send me brake lines for the rear with their portals.

Well, do you have any suggestions as to what it may be?

Or can you explain a high idle when staying in gear with the brakes depressed hard?

Hear reduction? Maybe its louder than you are used to?

Have you checked out the throttle body recall? If it’s not seated correctly in the intake boots you may be sucking air (along with dirt and water) which could cause a surging idle.
Yup, that's all good.

If the throttle body is sucking air past the gasket where it bolts on it is bypassing the iac and will make it idle up because of the unregulated air intake.

Have you done the clutch relearn since digging into the gear reduction?
Try that.

The gear reduction is in the portals, not internal. However I did do the relearn anyways.
I thought the gear reduction was in addition to the portals.
Now I see it as a 30% reduction portal.

Were you able to make any headway with anything?
