Got any pics of it?First ride of season. Got hole in rim. Not in tire ! So pissed just purchased
Inside of wheel like that, the rock wedged between brake component or a arm at spindle. Weakest thing gave up, in this case aluminum wheel.
Hit a rock while running low pressure. The tire bottoms out on the rim and knocks a hole in it. Very possible and has happened to several members here.
Is that what you think could have happened?
CP: This group looked for anything rough and had a great time. It wasn't all about who was the best or correct line just some good ol boys with a beer and a 4wd.
what I think happen. Just pushed. Just purchased itIt could also be a rock that got in between the wheel and the brake. That's what happened to me and it pushed the aluminum in from the outside versus pushing up and pushing a hole in the wheel from the inside.

Going to talk to dealer tomarrow see what they can doYa. I have had a handful in my years just like this. One I could even put my fist through. Entire rock was inside the tire.
Rock wedged inside wheel and against arm. No where to go but through the wheel.
Sucks. But if you bought a common brand... Most will replace it free.
