Buy that thing! Original wheels and maybe tires is saying everything you need to hear. The 300 is a top 3 all time Honda atv in my book!
They are heavily modified for the bogs down south, there's alot of tinkering you can do to them.....and, there's a real good Honda atv forum out there with tons of info on these things.

I bought it. Now the wait until monday when I can pick it up. 😃
I bought 2 of them new in 1993-94 thereabouts. Still have one. The only times I had to use the included tool kit was to borrow it to guys that I was riding with to need to work on their non-Honda rides.

It was as nice as it looked in the pictures so I picked it up today! The windshield and floorboard need a little tlc, but nothing that a couple new bolts won’t fix. And the front brake lever is bent. But, it fired right up with no choke even in 40* temps this morning.
The frame is rock solid with almost no rust for a 98 model!

The front tires are more bald than they look in the pics. So I guess the next question is.............What's the biggest tire I can fit on this machine????????????

I had two 99 TRX 300's, and still have one of them. Never had an issue with either of them. Probably one of the best atv's ever made.

26x12x12 and 25x12x11 are good sizes for the 300. I still have an old set of blackwaters that were a real popular upgrade for it. There also used to be a cam upgrade for it. Not sure if they're still selling them or not. These things are still real popular down south. Get on that honda atv forum and enjoy!!!!
I remember reading something about using Big red atc 250es cams..... can't remember if thats for the 300 or the older 350's.

Now you guys just need to tell me how to let the wife know I’m buying this!! Besides just showing up with a trailer like I normally do.
