What are your thoughts on a kit that uses the WFO adjuster on a Factory Honda windshield replacing the one shown here. It would require drilling holes in the center of both the top and bottom portion on the windshield to mount a hinge mount and locking cradle with the WFO in between.

I have not yet found a factory windshield I can look at locally.

Does the factory latch/adjuster provide enough air the way it is ?

Is the Honda windshield strong enough to just have a mid mount latch/adjuster ?

Will people want this if it comes in around $150 ?

What models use this Honda set up ?

Any thoughts or input would be greatly appreciated.

You would have to make a mount on the lower windshield...it doesn't have a very wide lip like the satv. It only opens about 6 in. Would be nice to open at least double that.

They don’t have gas cylinders to hold them up do they. ? Won’t be able to go wfo, without them . If that’s the case probably a nonstarter .

No they dont...but it could be done. I was going to do it on mine but picked up an SATV pretty cheap. My wifes pioneer still has the factory windshield.

seems like folks might be interested in longer slotted pieces to allow wider opening?

That longer handle replacing the wing nut on the slider would be nice. Those little plastic wing nuts are a pain in the a$$. Did you make that center height adjuster/support? It’s super nice!

If you are taking about the shiny aluminum parts yes we make it .

Are you referring to the cam-nut being a pain in the ass ? Are you using the cam ?

I think we’re talking about the same thing, the little plastic wing nut that you tighten that secures the windshield slider in position. Yes, I still have both yet. Yours shown in the pic would be easier to get ahold of, especially with a gloved hand.

I’ve thought about putting together a kit for the factory windshields, but most people just buy the SATV to begin with.

PBR Products extenders are a copy of the Boat Time Products ones.
They look pretty close, doesn’t really matter who had them first to me personally. I bought the PBR’s because those are the only ones a knew of and they are cheaper than Boat Time.
