So, somewhere in that mess of boxes is a KFI 66" poly blade snowplow setup, a 3,500lb KFI winch and KFI mount, accessory sub-harness, and the factory accessory 1-1/4" drawbar. May wind up going with the Moose 2" hitch later, but don't intend on towing/dragging anything too heavy at the moment.

Winch mount, plow mount, and wiring sub harness installed over the weekend. And I fabbed up a license plate mount.

That, soccer games for two of my kids, a niece’s birthday party, closing the pool, and splitting a couple cords of firewood made for a nice relaxing weekend. 😵‍💫

got the plow blade put together

Made a bracket to mount the contactor block to the back of the frame crossmember.
Surface mounted the rocker switch to the bottom of the dash above the 12v socket and buttoned everything up for now after testing. Still need to decide if and where to mount the remote socket.

I have the same winch (except mine is 4500#) installed by the dealer on my P520, and it's the same fairlead and winch line as Buzz's.
Interesting... I am not sure there is really a problem, but there has to be a reason everyone with a synthetic rope uses the hawse type and not the roller. Other than weight, the only other thing I can think of is burrs on the rollers catching the rope.

Anyone know why?

Looks good! Lots of fun goodies going on!

The roller fairlead was supplied with the winch. I am definitely no expert, but from what I've read the main reason hawse are preferred for synthetic is that if the rollers are worn with scratches, burrs, or sharp edges it will tear the rope fibers over time, as stated above by crewcabrob. I'm hoping it's not an issue with brand new rollers that have never seen cable. I guess if the gaps were large enough pinching could be an issue too.

I wish my wife was able to see this and to hear that I might have something right...

Before I saw the picture I was going to say not for a second because the moment you sit in it you will be The Ultimate Mod.

Got the push tubes and plow blade mated up and adjusted over the weekend and hooked up the plow and tested everything out. So far, so good. Now we wait for the snow to fly.

In the meantime, thinking what the next accessory/mod will be. I'm thinking I need some storage for basic tools, a first aid kit, etc.

I’d recommended something like this if you plough lots. Saves the winch line from cutting into the spooled line on the drum. I leave this flat strap on year round as it protects the synthetic line from sun tends to keep mud and keerap off the spool.
