Man I really like my 700-4! Went on some real trails this weekend with bigger hills and it did perfect... The only thing that would be nice is the quietness of the 1000.
There were a few p 1000s there and you can’t even hear them run! I am almost 100% happy with the 700... Maybe like 95%... lol... It is not weak or under powered... And I don’t find the suspension bad, but I started with the bucking bronco p500... The 700 rides way better...

I haven’t driven one on purpose... When I’m ready for a new one that’s probably what I will get...

Very wise move. That's exactly what happened to me. Went to buy a 700 and that darned salesman asked if I wanted to drive a 1000 after I drove a 700 and the rest is history. I love my P-1000-3!

Ah yes.... it's vewy, vewy kwiet.

and I like it that way!! That way I can be stealth in the woods!

Seriously though, you should look at getting a Silent Rider muffler. I had one on the Viking, and until the gasket between the can and the flange started to blow out, it was a big improvement.

I've driven a 1000 and I still don't know. Not that it isn't what it's said to be...but I still see a lot of glitches for some people. Mystery s*** that drives you crazy.
I know it's a minority, but the way my luck goes...
The 700 just doesn't give many issues. And I still think it looks better.

There's a serious piece of mind driving the 700, there is no worries when I leave to go riding that it will get me home. I don't want to even be concerned how I drive it, just put it in drive and go weather I'm pushing a plow load of heavy snow or out for a sunday ride. I don't think the 1000'scan provide a piece of mind for me from what i've heard, so I'll stick with my 700.

That is absolutely correct. I bought this machine for what it was intended for. Four 1/2 years of the greatest memories And times with my family and my dog. I drove a 1000 and it was nice. But not enough to get rid of my reliable piece of mind in my 700 or lose what I have in it. I will check out this Talon. But ol red is here to stay.

Used the 700 at deer camp this weekend and it did awesome! It is quiet doing work and cruising... It’s really only loud when wide open! But I’m glad I decided not to sell it, it went through the tight trails easily, which is one advantage of it over the 1000... I’m happy with it!

They are all great rigs, be it the 500,700, or 1000. It is all about the person who owns it and what they want/need and their personality. The 700 was and is still the right choice for me out of the 3 models. Not too big, and not too small. As others have said, I just don't worry about it starting up and going till I shut it off. It fits in my garage space very nice.
So my personality was a big factor in the selection of the 700. It is very reliable, I don't need a ton of speed, The interior is big enough for what I do and who rides with me, It has diff lock. My Deluxe model has the power steering and paddle shifters.

Would I love a low range? Yes Would I love the twin cylinder motor? Yes Would I love turf mode? Yes

But all in all , it fits my riding style and personality..at a price that was affordable.

A sport sxs would fit my personality best... I’m like Bruce banner though, I try not to let that side out too much... My need is the 700-4... Heck my dream has always been to put a jet ski motor in a wheel barrow and take the wheels off. Make a super fast mini boat! That’s why I don’t let that side out....

First real weekend riding my ‘18 P700-4. Im pretty happy. Other than the annoying squeal. My other thread a few suggested loose exhaust clamps. Well I had the thing soaked. And it still continued to squeal. Back to the dealer tomorrow. I was a little disappointed in the power going up a medium grade hill. Had it wide open, once we started climbing she was maxed at 23mph. On the trails, performed really well. Did a number on the front lower bumper after hitting a log that did not want to move (not intentional) and then Going slow down some rocks, I hit the other side. Both Wacks dented it pretty good. Going to have to look into getting something stronger.

My biggest complaint is that the shifter is backwards should push forward to go forward

I ended up putting a “Silent Rider” muffler silencer on. I would say it cut the engine noise inside about 50%. I can actually talk to the passenger now. I think it’s was $250

I adjusted my rear shocks to the second hardest setting today. It improved the ride a lot! It felt spongy and bouncy on the middle setting.

And I completely agree with the shifter being backwards
