Good lord the spiders were crazy yesterday going down the trail -
@Smitty335 i have seen your flag pole out front of your ride - assuming that is for spiders and such. What ideas are out there to help with the spiders and such on the trail.

I had no luck in getting @Tigermark to take the lead but we did fashion a sapling to the front and that seemed to help

The flag pole works better than nothing, but I hauled a bunch of spiders home still. I will spray down Rooster with bug spray before I come home next time.

What's bad is when you going down the trail and you start seeing them buggers even before you hit them - I did notice more over pools of standing water - which makes sense.

At one point I saw someone coming toward us on the trail - I was extremely happy as that meant they had cleared all the webs ahead of us--- first thing he says is I am glad to know the spider webs have been cleared ahead of me lol.

When I was younger, a buddies grandfather had a cane stick mounted vertically on the front of his fourtrax for spider webs in the mid 80's. Im quite sure that fourtrax and piece of cane are both still being used today.

Here's my spider catcher from last year at bull run. This is a screen shot from Drfubar's video.

Well I left the Honda outside last night until I could spray it off - did not want to chance any spiders making it into the garage. Good thing as there were quite a few webs on there when I went to spray off.

Ya gott'a be shirting me! Are you guys for real? Freaking spiders and spider webs so thick you're driving through them? Fark that! There isn't ANY riding good enough to put up with that. I hate snakes the worst, but spiders 'ain't far behind.

When I ride through the woods I pick up loads of bugs and spiders. They never really bothered me, I just flick them off and keep riding! How big are the spiders around you!?

If you have a stick or a single spider web catcher you can knock them down before they get stuck to your face. HA!

Not that big, just lots of them, you can pick up 10 in a 100 yard stretch easy.

Pretty strange I must admit but as a house painter, I deal with flies, bees, wasps, mosquitos, deer flies, bats and all sorts of spiders on a daily basis and that's just part of the business but for some reason, I just have never been able to deal with the spider webs???????

Ya know, here in Southern Utah, we hardly have spiders. Maybe in dark corners in a cool dry house...there is no mosquito's, damn few fly's and pretty much no annoying flying insects. You can easily sit outside at dusk and enjoy the evening. Move a bit south in the desert, like the Las Vegas NV area, and there is not any flying insects. It's just too dry and either too hot or too cold There are plenty of bats scouring the area for the few flying bugs they can find but that's about it.

We do have a few snakes, rattlesnakes...and scorpions upon occasion which are quickly dispatches when found.
