P1000 I want new shocks for my Pioneer 1000-5 deluxe

I want better shocks right now. I've been convinced that Elka stage 2 are as good or better shock than the foxes.

I would buy a set of fox takeoffs. Or any of them lightly used as long as it's a deal.

I can get new elka stage 2 shocks for around 1300. I don't need reservoirs or a ton of adjustments. I just want a more comfortable ride, a front end that wont bottom out every day, and a little more height. I'm not doing high speed desert runs or any type of racing.

I know i'm going to be told to get 814's. If the price hadn't gone up, i probably would consider it. I think they are close to 1600 now. And I don't want to play with all the settings.

Are you sure 814 prices went up? The Dominator series is around 1600 but pretry sure trail series is same low price. But I've been wrong before (once lol)

last night there were a couple sets of foxes on ebay for 1400, plus tax

and the 814's did go up quite a bit. I know they used to be a bit cheaper than the fox, but now I think they are more

Fox's are great imo. I would either make the jump to Elka stage 3 or stick with Fox's.

Just like what @BWAF Said Amazon set of 4 $1,399.00 free shipping. That’s where I got mine and paid the same 4 yrs ago. The price hasn’t changed since then and fox makes them as “Genuine Honda parts” My brother in law owns a marina and gets recreation parts at cost like a bike shop. That said, there wasn’t much of a mark up on the foxes. (I had mine by then) So If you can get the special on eBay like the others got, consider yourself lucky. Here’s the amazon link
PS, you can also easily change springs for your riding style yourself with the foxes. There’s a few threads on it.
