I bought my P1k5 in February. I have been a Honda guy since my family got its first 4 wheeler in 1986. I wanted something my family could all ride in and no drive belt. And they finally made it. First thing on my list was the bed extender. I opted for the JEI off road one so I still had room when the kids were with us. Then I added the 700-4 cup holders to all 4 doors. I didn't realize they came in sets of 2 so I bought 8 of them. If anybody is interested in my extras let me know. 6d8034e13bac855cac48e7bb4589e4ce3b4f601d5383131fb07314531758fa84604d483b2eb7da2c92a1b67df6c5c609

Glad you made it here. Definitely put the snorkel at the top of the list.
Lost of fun ahead of you.

I've read through a lot of winch and winch mount items on here. I'm trying to pick between KFI and EMP. I'm leaning towards EMP because of the straighter line pull. Which mounting plate do you guys prefer and why?

I know it comes down to personal preference, but once you dig a winch hook out of a foot of slimy mud a few times, a top mount winch location is gonna look awfully good lol. But unless you're handy with metalwork, that usually requires an aftermarket front bumper. Just something to think about down the road.

Well I have mud allergies so my bumper was a necessity (at least as far as the wife knows lol).

Would you please write me a "prescription" for my mud allergies to help my wife understand?

I think this is one of those situations where they either get it or they don't.

A mud allergy, I'm afraid mine is smarter than that.....

I'm a decent fabricator. I have a tendency to overbuild things though..... I know what you're saying about mounting it high to keep it out of the mud. I'm not prepared to build a whole bumper right now so I was going to go ahead and mount it with an aftermarket plate. If I get this baby stuck, I ain't getting it out by myself without a winch........

Opened up the Badland 5000 I got as an early father's day present. Got the switch mounted, used the existing bolt under the bottom cubby hole in the dash. Ran wires from switch to solenoid. Tapped into the live power coming from the acc fuse under the hood (only powered when key is on). Mounted the solenoid on the passenger side underneath the hood. Planning to put remote control connector outlet in glove box but didn't have the right size drill bit. Took the bumper off, thinking about making my own mounting plate, but not sure yet...... stay tuned. 60cf9da4350742fab0749689320d470b3cb70b6aaec946e2f3ffc22979fe887fBb6620d224f73423dc16b60346664f0d
