Installing a Light Bar with a hard top roof on Pioneer 1000

Hello, I'm CFarrell71

Looking to install a light bar on front and back of Pioneer 1000. Have a hard top roof so securing to the roll bar is tough. Is Roof best place to install? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Here is a little info about me to begin with!
Honda SxS ownership : Yes
I have owned, or currently own the following: UTV
My off-road experience level is: Beginner
My favorite place to ride is: hunting land

With the roof I mounted an Amazon special on the front bumper below the chrome Honda emblem it's plenty bright, out the back you could do a pair of cube lights one on each side. The back doesn't cover as much of the front use aftermarket clamps like I did could drop it enough. I bought my clamps on Amazon aluminum 1.75in they can swivel

I like my light down low and out front to eliminate any glare

It' really bright! I really like the DRL feature, Its just the right amount of lite to have a beverage and shoot the bull when out on the trail at night.
I also use the DRL when driving up into the campgrounds at night, doesn' blind anyone.

I prefer mine up against the cab low so the weight stays down and it doesn't get damaged or snagged in the tight stuff. Curved is the way to go in my opinion as it spreads the light. 52" was maximum for keeping it tight to the machine.

Bumper mount is ok. It’s what I did. Some guys are making their own brackets and mounting at the bottom of the windshield.



For rear lights, you may want to try a couple smaller lights so you can aim them. I’ve tried several different setups and may change again.

Welcome from AL - Like @GlockMeister said, I also like forward lights below my line of sight - I mounted one light in rear just below roofline so it wouldn't get knocked off.

I went with the curved up by the windshield

I went with the cubes in the back, plenty of light!

I had mine mounted under the lip of hard roof for several months. Good location with no glare but did have a little movement when riding. Moved it to top tube of front bumper.

Try the tractor supply clamps $14 and are WELL made.
