Insurance prices

Well I did do some searching on what people are paying for insurance on their rigs, saw a lot of people claim $2-400 for the year for full coverage. Sounded about right.

My wife contacted our agent (private broker but we use Commerce with good results) and cant find anything for less than about 1100 for the year, full coverage. Liability, collision, total comprehensive I gather.

To make it worse (for what I expected) we had no idea we needed insurance to finance a new 700-4. Not through Honda, and only financing about 6-7k.

We live in MA, don't plan on registering it anywhere but NH. Any riding in MA will be on private land. ...

Why so much? Am I missing something?

For 2 trucks, a car, 2 camper trailers we pay less than 200 right now. Good driving records. What gives.

Have you tried your homeowners insurance?

My RV and toys are on a rider on my homeowners....it’s way less for the same coverage.

IIRC my full coverage Honda coverage is looking like 300 for the year.

We have full coverage 100/300, but no medical since we have that coverage elsewhere and we pay $225ish in Florida. Separate policy, motorcycle, but same company as the rest of our vehicles.

I have progressive full coverage, plus extra to get to 25k on my 1000-5, and I pay $31.05 a month with no multi car discount.

I'm in VA and have full coverage on my p1k5 for fire, theft, total loss at farm bureau with my house, cars and business and it $75 per year. Good luck with that

Full coverage on 5 vehicles for LESS than $200 ....... WHOA! That would probably be $4K in La.

I live in the People’s Republic of New York, Geico full coverage $500 deductible, 250/500 thousand coverage, is $446 a year.

Thanks for the good idea. My talon R through progressive is $1200 a year. Hell my truck is not more than that. My rhino was like $200 bucks!

I have Progressive and its about $400 a year full coverage. Yea the finance companies want to cover their a@@ in case you total it and tell them to come get it cause you're not paying anymore.

I guess it's all across the board then. Will it go down once it's not brand new? I like the idea of some coverage, but plan on paying the remaining loan off within the year.

$472.04 a year with Allstate here in Tennesse.
