Can buy a 2016 1000-3 w/ approx 400 miles on it for $14k (+\-) or spring for a brand new 700-2/1000-3. New 700 with all accessories (windshield, eps, wench, hard top, soft enclosures) would be about 17k. 1000 would probably be north of $20k.

Use will be work around house, plowing, and trail riding. Thoughts?

I paid $13,000 for my '16 in '16. I certainly wouldn't pay that for one in '19.

Well, you are in Alaska so a lot of things factor in and not really a wrong answer. Both are good machines.
500s and 1000s seem to be more popular with the 700 lost in the crowd.

Are you mechanically inclined?
Is a warranty important to you?
Is a dealer close by for warranty work?
Is turf mode more important than getting in tight areas?
Will you trailer it and if you have a trailer will the 1000 fit?
Lastly, those who make/sell accessories are more focused on 1000s with new or unusual items.
Make sure you can get/find accessories you want in the 700 before you buy one.

Personally, I am very happy with the 700 and use it much like you will do.
Others like more speed and power but I don't need it and don't want to pay for more than I need.
I wanted dependable and affordable with a little cash to add mods as I learn what I want and need.

best of luck on your hunting expedition.

I was talking about with all of the accessories.

My '16 came with a Honda glass front windshield, a Honda roof, a Honda hard back window, a 4500# Warn winch and a 6' Moose snow plow and out the door I paid $16,100.

Bit the bullet on the 2016 P1K-3 today. Advertised as having 500 miles on it, but turns out only had 115. Experiencing typical buyer’s remorse when purchasing something this expensive. Will take it out for a ride to Moore and hopefully assuage those feelings. Better for everyone here: no more posts from me asking about potential “deals.” :)

Congrats, we have one just like it and love it.

I wouldn’t worry about the mileage. I wouldn’t worry about the mileage if it had 1000 miles on it. Check in to see if the oil has been changed at the initial 100 mile mark. If the oil looks fairly dirty it probably wasn’t changed.

Oh yeah, If you ride those tires on the pavement you’ll find out real quickly that they wear extremely fast and uneven. Check the alignment soon.
