how many miles did you have on the pioneer when all this started. I just sold a 2015 Polaris ranger 900 crew and bought a new 2017 Honda pioneer 1000 p-3 I just have 15 miles on it.

what year was it. I don't think it matters if it's a 16 or a 17 model I think people are having problems . although not many post from people with the 17 year model on here that I have saw.

WTF! 3 months! Rat ba$tards. That's just not right to keep ANY vehicle for that long. Guess this just what Honda has become...another "Don't give a $hit corporation". Maybe they've always been that, but it sure is more evident now...

I just PRAY I never have an issue I can't resolve myself or a warranty call...

Sucks that a burnt clutch took out the motor.
Glad to see it's finally back going!

I've always thought clutches running in the same oil as the engine crankcase was a lame ass idea. Japanese bikes have done it forever but it don't make it right...

I like Harley with three holes to fill...

Honda crf250-450 has separate fills. Only jap bike that does it. But never seen an issue with the Honda bikes with out, they've NEVER burnt clutches.

I think Honda went away from 2 different fill holes on there dirt bikes. I just bought my son a 2017 crf 450rx and it just has 1 fill hole for the oil. this is new for the 2017 dirt bikes. I like it better also I have a 2003 Honda rubicon 500 and it just has 1 fill hole for the oil and this is for the motor and the transmission oil. the rubicon has over 7000 miles on it with no problems but I know it has a totally different transmission than the pioneer.

The 1000 is the first Honda with clutch issues that I'm aware of. Got almost 30k on two Honda bikes original set. Personally never had a set go in a bike but then again the bike has larger clutches and more of them the the P1k lol. Think the 250x still runs two not sure on 450. The r and x are different.
