I told Joe I would post a very real life personal review of his stainless steel brake lines. So here it is.

After arriving home from the 2017 Pioneer Takeover I bought a set of SS brake lines from Jak's Perfomance. After seeing a couple brake line failures on the 1000 models I thought this would be a great mod for safety reasons.

I had the first set for the 700 he produced, here is my review and thoughts on this upgrade.
First off Joe is a great guy and is very responsive and a pleasure to work with. I ordered these while I was out of town for business and had them for a couple weeks before installing them. They arrived VERY quick after ordering.

Installation was a breeze! everything fit perfectly and took me about 30 minutes to install all 3 lines. all lines were the perfect length, all fittings were the correct size and he even supplies a couple extra clamps to make sure they stay out of the way. The clamps do need the mounting holes enlarged slightly, this was no big deal with a good vice on my drill press.
[ Note: I do have a car lift in my shop so this made access much easier]

I would say that I achieved a 10 to 25% better pedal feel after the installation. I could feel NO peddle fade or spongy feel while holding hard on the peddle while creeping down any steep obstacles. I also notice a little more responsive feel to the brakes while being applied.

This was a very good mod for my type of terrain.
I have sense traded in my 700 for a 1k LE. I just got back from its maiden run and I DEFINETLY can feel the difference in the brakes. As soon as Joe finish's up a little research , my 1k L.E. will be getting a set also.

Sorry I guess I didn't get a good picture of the rear with the new line!!!!
Also if you look closely, you will see some chafing on the old lines.

Stock lines on my p1k had all kinds of knicks and gouges in them. Every one of them could potentially be catastrophic failure. Love the better feel of new lines. Money well spent.

I also purchased some of his brake lines. The improved pedal feel is nice and the peace of mind knowing these brake lines are much stronger is great.

Thanks Joe, you're a good guy even if you did bend my lug wrench!

Ha that's good to hear but I've got big projects and a few trips I promised momma a year ago when we finished the new house. I am working on getting her stuff first. Only so much $ to spread around. I'll pick some up soon.
no worries
