Well, I'm ready to start my build. The P500 got sold and on my way back home, I picked up the Talon X4.

Here is the current upgrade list (waiting on all to be delivered except the wheels)

Alba Racing crusher bead locks. 14X7, 4/3 offset
ITP Terra Hook 32x10x14 tires
Super ATV 1.5 inch spacers for rear wheels
EVO exhaust with red head shield (no tune required)
CA Technologies shift gate
Tanaka 5 point harness at all four seats
Super ATV front lower doors (will bet lower rears when they start making them)
Noam NUTV5-Sound system
Trail Armour skids and arm guards

Future possible adds
Rugged radio
Lighted whips
Rear view mirror (eminent, just need to find the right one)

Trail Armour skid plate and A-arm guards showed up today. The combined weight of the packages is 125 lbs!

Between the extra weight and the 32 inch tires...a turbo upgrade may be in the not too distant future...

FYI, the 32x10x14 inch ITP Terra Hooks were 32.25 inches in diameter, unmounted at 20 PSI. Weight on the one I weighed was 38.1 lbs. The 14x7 4/3 offset Alba Racing wheels were 15.6 lbs. Total tire/wheel weight at 53.7. Was wanting to be at 50 lbs or under, but its basically impossible to do that with bead locks and 32 inch tires unless you go OMF and Tensor DS. That set up would cost about $2,000 more. Not worth it to me. BUT, this is still a much lighter set up than most. Most of the big brand beadlocks are about 20 lbs and unless you get thiese tires or Carnivores, 32 inch tires tend to be 40 to 45 lbs. So, 54 lbs vs 60-65 lbs is pretty decent.

14.2 lbs for the front and 14.6 lbs for the rear according to my bathroom scale.

That makes the stock front tire weigh in at an even 20Ibs., the rear stock tire must be slightly heavier. I have the stock front tire and wheel at 34.2 lbs.

I just conducted a little experiment. I weighed a stock front Talon wheel and (used) stock tire, 37.2lbs. Then I weighed another stock Talon front wheel with a brand new stock tire, 39.6lbs. Both tires were filled at 15psi.
I don't have Talon rears with new tires so I filled both of my used (maybe 40% worn) tires to 15psi and they both came in at 43lbs. I realize there will be some variation across different scales but the above info is with all tires at 15psi on the same scale for reference.

That is incredibly bizarre the two front wheels weigh 2.5 lbs different. Can you re weigh them to confirm?

Thanks for the info! How are you liking your Alba Racing beadlock wheels? Do you feel like they are way better quality than System 3 wheels?
