I ended up selling my Talon a few months ago because we wanted a cabbed machine and the fellow that purchased it had a KRX.

Here is why he bought my 2019 used Talon when he owned a much newer KRX. His issues dealing with Kawasaki made me skip looking at their machines when shopping for a cabbed machine.

Damn - It's not Kawasaki, it's kawasucky -

Really sorry to hear this story, :( I've been running Japanese motors for 55 years (1969) and I had great luck with them. Admittedly, I did hear some kawasucky grumblings in that time.

I know the owner well and he is not exaggerating and never abused the machine at all.

I think it was just a lemon, and every company has them, it is just how they handled the problems that made me pass on their machines. We purchased a new Defender limited this year and a small RTV500. I would have certainly looked at the little Mule and the Ridge but after seeing how they were with handling problems I figured I best avoid their machines.

The dealer I bought my Honda from also sold Kawasaki. They were on a stop sale when I was in there.

Krx probably has the most unreliable motor ever. I've known several in our group that blew up in the 1st year or 2. Then Facebook page is full of them. Some on their 1st or 2nd tank of gas. Very weak front diff too!

I wouldn't be afraid......that machine has a lot of features.

my hunch is there are similar videos/reports on all brands
No seriously they have a design issue in their motors, we've had several in our group die. They bought back @TripleB . I'd wait till they put in the 4 cylinder motor from the ridge rest of the stuff is livable I'd think.

Did some googling and could only find 3 or 4 people with low milage blown engines and all were related to bad sensors causing the injectors to dump fuel in the cylinders washing them down and thinning out the oil or the engine running leaner than they already do and burning up pistons. Either way it should run noticeably horrible and be evident that it's not happy.

@TripleB Did Kawi make it right or did they leave you hanging? Potential buyers need to know these things. If I remember correctly, it sat broken at your place for a looooonng time with no resolution.

No they didn't. I got almost what I paid for it but the price on a new machine had increased $3500 from when I bought mine. Not happy at all with them. I think it was mostly my dealer trying to make it right and not kawasaki. Basically all kawasaki gave me was a spare tire and rim.

4 months and 1500 miles when the new machine melted down. Got over 4k on the new one with no problems yet
When you say "melted down"...you mean overheating?

It's amazing how much I learn in here. I thought the KRX was supposed to be pretty good. And @Plumber32 tells me that I-4wd now works pretty well. I haven't been paying much attention, it seems.
