Now that @Kilo427 has done the deed... let’s discuss. I know there are many of us looking to make the same move.

Been researching them a little, if you buy the factory lighting kit it comes with a higher output alternator? Watched some videos of it out at Moab. First vid was the factory interduction of the machine, second vid was of one with different rims and EFX 32 inch tires doing some incredible rock crawling at Moab.

Copied from my previous post

I think the general opinion was positive. Granted only got to drive it a little bit so no opinion on how anything holds up long term but
  • Power steering was crazy good - yea who leads a list off with power steering but it is like a car/ truck
  • Engine braking - if you did not push the gas going down hill the machine would stop you
  • Acceleration was good, not as instant as a talon but difference between gears and belt
  • Climbs great, also came down a pretty good obstacle with ease
  • lots of room in the cab seats felt good
  • Stainless steel brake lines
  • Seats did not move smoothly
  • Getting the hood on is a PITA
  • A lot of little details here and there that were deigned into the machine - like the ROPS have holes for wire pass through, there is a channel from front to back to run wire if you need, the grill pops out so you can wash the radiator
Biggest thing is the value for the money I think - already has bead locks and tires that you wont have to replace right away. The wheels and tires are all the same size, trailing arms looked beefed up. Full doors.

Pretty quite machine as well... I mean not the exhaust but no chattering going down the trail... clutch definitely does not sound like the chatter of the Rzr's I have ridden in where it should like something is coming loose going down the trail

As I said earlier today. I wish I didn’t love this machine as much as I do. Seems if Honda weren’t stubborn we would all have a talon, trust me I wish I liked the talon better it would have only benefited me if I did as much as I know about the pioneer platform. I promise you I didn’t want to learn a whole new machine but Honda forced my hand

That being said its about time to finish my pioneer krx roof

After getting a little trail time this weekend it just reinforced what.i already thought of this machine! It just seems to be the perfect fit for the style of riding i prefer and it does it very well bone stock even.

Drummond Island and most of the UP are 65" on trails. In Dunes and logging roads anything goes . The places I like to ride in Michigan are 65"
Rode Drummond many times growing up in this state, never seen or heard Of that! If that’s the case I’ve been illegal a few times 🤫

How is reverse power ? JBS has been doing some clutching upgrades. He's done excellent work on Yamahas and the teryx clutching.

Seems like its about time to start kawisxs.com @Hondasxs
HA! I think Kawasaki hit a home run for woods and rock crawler riders! It's not a Dune machine for sure. And it doesn't replace the versatility of the P1-5, so now I have to figure out to convince my wife we need both? HA!

Maybe I'm off base here...but the world was waiting on a Japanese RZR. Yamaha took a stab, then the one everyone was hoping for (Honda) dropped a machine. The problem is that many the RZR owners wanting to cross over really do prefer a CVT, and I think both the yam and Honda are just enough unlike Polaris or can am to put those groups off a bit.
I really can't help but think Kawasaki stole the thunder here. It doesn't make 200hp (not that I care), but outside if that, the thing is just badass.
I don't really want a pure sport machine, but if I did, I'd have a hard time choosing the talon over the KRX.
