P1000 Left over 2016

I found a left over new 2016 1000-5 12997.00. I have seen the up dates to the 17, but would that be enough to pass up that kind of deal

No not really, get the product update campaigns completed on both cabin comfort and clutch improvement for free, then $20 ish for water ingestion fix kit. Only other thing you would not have is the thicker foam seats and a shield that deflects hot air from entering shift holes, it to is only a $17 add on.

About right might try to talk them into a bunch of accessories for 30% off. Won’t give you much more off the machine but I’ll be you could sweeten the deal with accessories that you can’t get except from Honda.

that is what i just bought was a 2016 1000-3 base for 10,995. in Covington la. list was 14000. and they did the comfort update and have a file if i need to bring in for transmission update

First Welcome! And yes you will need the clutch up date, there's more to it than just clutches, the clutch cover with chamfered oil relief valves and different office for more oil flow to clutches, this is a must! You will also need the water ingestion fix and the heat deflector for the radiator. If you lived up North you wouldn't need the heat deflector. Happy Trails!

Well I pulled the trigger on the 1000-5 yesterday. I drove over 9 hours round trip, but the savings over local dealers was about 1500.00 to 2000.00 They did the the updates before I picked it up. So now I just hope I have no warranty problems, because I am sure the local guys will give me a hard time.

I would suggest if your local dealer gives you a rough time that you would call Honda coustomer service while standing in the service dept.!!
Sorry that was a rant! A Chevy dealer told me onetime "I don't care what the owners manual say's it's not covered". Well after the coustomer service got off the phone with the service manager, it was a complete change of attitude.

I meant take it to one you are comfortable with and trust.

I don’t trust my local dealers, so mine is going to one 3hrs away for the clutch update and heat fix. Which is the one I bought from.

I could’ve been clearer. I live 15mins away from a stealership and I’ve only bought Honda oil and filters from them when Prime was too slow.

IF? You will defiantly need it, unless you use it for a golf cart.
