I know there are about 1,000 threads on light bars, primarily because I have searched through about 10 of them.

The one thing I can not seem to find is how everyone likes/dislikes the locations of them.

I have debated on a few locations, and types of light bars, and I was looking for everyones thoughts and inputs on what I was thinking. The lines are single row LED bars and the circles are cubes

I have 3 single row light bars on my front bumper. Consistent with your markings in red. I have no complaints at all.
I do not have cubes on windshield though.
I have square x5 mounted behind my head aimed to the left and right of my machine.

@Neohio how do you like that location and what do you have for light bars? I was debating on using cubes under the headlights so I can “fan” the lights

If you are going to run a snow plow, you won’t care for the lights in that location when you have to raise to plow.

Without a plow they would be fine.

Just buy some good lights and you wont need so many. I put a set of rigid D-SS pro cubes on my cage pillers where you have the dots. They light up everything. I don't see any reason for more lights on the front. Pictures below are with just headlights vs pods. Which is which is obvious. The difference is even more noticeable in person. Pictures don't really do it justice. Everyone on here always goes back and fourth about amazon specials or lights like Rigid. There is no comparison IMO. I've had both and the name brand lights are atleast twice as good. I don't care what the cheap ones claimed lumens is.

Those Rigid cubes? Lights look bright. I would rip them off in that location though. I have a 20 inch Black Oak light bar that's way to bright unless I'm leading, never thought about a light being too bright, I can't use it in a group.

Think that's the best location for cubs for wide vision that I've seen. Do you get any glare off the windshield with it closed?
No but I have mine aimed pretty wide. In the woods you can basically pick a line in any direction like it is daytime. I have plenty of forward light as well

Lol I don't think you would have to worry about ripping them off. The brackets are pretty stout and they dont stick out past the cage. I'm not saying you couldn't in a wreck, but riding with tree limps hitting them and scraping against stuff they aren't going anywhere. I tend to hit up high more then anywhere.

And yes I had a 32" bar on my RZR. Almost never used it. It either blinded everyone else or the dew and dust would blind me. Very easy to have to much light lol.

I absolutely like the mount positions I have they are like your second picture (Blue) I will say that mounting the light bar there is moderately difficult as you have to remove the front bumper to mount it (at least I did because of the brackets)

I am running scratch and dent RC light bars from ebay. I had to tack mounts onto the bumper for the center bar. The outside bars are 6" I believe, mounted using tractor supply mounts. I have tabs cut to weld permanently and get rid of the TSC mounts.
I'll try and get some midnight shots with it this weekend.
My X5 cubes are mounted similar to @ToddACimer. I run the rear pair, not the set right behind my head.

Hey, I’m in the middle of a build and have same curved light bar as you and was thinking about the through the hood snorkel, but wondered how much light does it block doing that way? I’m very curious as I really want to do the snorkel but worried how much light it may block.
Not at all to notice

8bal929, did you buy the mounts for the Rigid DDS PRO lights or make them? I bought, where? What you have are the flood version?

Post a picture or two of the setup. Thanks.

this is what my cubes use to look like when I first bought the pioneer A little over 4 yrs ago. I used the bracket that came with the Auxbeam cubes and used the bolt hole in the upper right corner of the hood. You’ll need a longer bolt to replace the OEM bolt your taking out. The Auxbeam cubes have been grate. I still have them in different locations and have held up very well to a lot of mud, water and deer blood lol
