New cell phone doesn't have quite the reception the old one did, so maybe a lot less shots than there used to be. But still, a hot day experimenting with my doors zip-tied open. I've been thinking about this very thing, and I saw someone else mention it recently. Very noticeable reduction in temperature, and unexpectedly, though predictable in hindsight, a noticeable reduction in cabin noise as well. I'm starting to see the allure of tube doors...

Desolate? Barren? Dry?

Beautiful? Absolutely. Change my mind....

The sun is long in the sky. Mother Earth exhales at the relief from the scorching sun. Soon the coyote and the mountain lion will be roaming The canyons looking for a meal. And I will be bouncing along, bright white eyes shining away, making for home, enjoying the desert with those friends. Such is the blessed life.

It's not much of a trail pic , but at least I got to ride a little bit and I figured this thread needed a bump.

on my way to the little Tallapoosa river
20190831 191225
it has a firm sand bottom and about 6 inches deep. It has been very dry but early summer rain has cut the bank out about 4 feet. Normally can get in and ride about 200 yards. I will fix it . It's all sand and will be easy to do.

this pond is normally about 8 feet deep , it has been so dry lately it's almost gone . The mud is so soft if I drove off in it I would never get it back I know from experience it would sink a good 2 1/2 to 3 feet . And that's not fun.

Just been too hot here. Was thinking of going out tomorrow, but they've raised the predicted high. It's kinda the off season down in the valley.

I go on vacation in 3 weeks. I am planning a riding trip at the tail end. I will be off for 10 days . So I should have 3 or 4 days to play after we get back in town. I am back in Alabama tonight I am not off tomorrow but I sure wish I was .

It's not gonna rain at my house or where I am working this week , also got the word my crew won't have to work on the hurricane . I am thankful for that I have worked on hurricanes enough for a while. When it tears transmission lines down it's a mo fo and they are all I work on. Nothing else works till they do.
