P1000m5 Moparornocar's Long Overdue Build Thread

Of course when I bought my P1k5 I thought I had no need for a build thread since all I might do is slap a roof and windshield on it and go. Well my friends, we all kbiw how that goes. So I'm going to attempt to make an abbreviated recollection of what I have done so far and give a little more detail into what I have in store for the future. By the way many of my ideas are pirated off here so credit to whom it is due.

Day 1
Brought her home with the minivan just because they match. Yes, guys color coordinate too

First two mods, the soft top and my prized front plate. Which is now dead after hitting he water at 30 mph.

My first crack at a homemade windshield. And my last. It was flimsy as crap because I used too thin of plexiglass.

Then great move to Wisconsin, much cleaner riding conditions!

Off with the soft top and on with the hard top, ditched the hillbilly homemade windshield for a superatv tinted half shield, and cut the back window out if the soft top to reuse in the hard top.

Some sticker upgrades!

My 11 year old for bored and got ahold of my paint marker, so I came out to this. Doubt it will last, but looks cool anyway

Followed after several others and painted the letters on the dash

Now after the drowning incident think this will be enough snorkel? Lol

New snorkel, still need to order the scoop for it, total cost on it so far, 6 dollars.

By the way, it hurt cutting that hood!

Forgot about the underglow I did using 3 led semi truck marker lights. Plan on adding several more once my switch panel arrives

Looking good! Thanks for the recap. I remember laughing at your original color matching comment cause I did the same but with red.

True. Lol. I also remember the first pic I posted I took at dusk and everyone thought it was pink.

Big white truck showed up 2 minutes after I woke up! Guess I got a project to do!

Got a fire extinguisher finally and figured out where to mount my tire pump. Mama said we need some safety precautions, so off to work I go lol
