We found 3 Friday and 11 Monday. My son found 72 yesterday.
Another reason I need to move to TN. I have one spot here I find some in out of about 250 acres I search.

I've found 1 false morel before. There is a noticeable difference if you have any experience whatsoever. I've eaten all 3 types of these and have never been sick.

No luck for me yet. I've seem some local guys report finding some blacks, but its still early up here. Yellows won't be around for another week or two.

How long is the "season"? I'd love to do that, only had them a couple times and they were really good.
Runs late march to mid/ late April. Weather is a factor also. Here in ky about 3 weeks

Yesterday was the day the yellows popped. I walked outside and my sinuses exploded....so it had to be it. 🤣🤣 I'll be rolling in them this weekend. So far, only ticks...
Supposed to rain tomorrow and sunny 70+degrees Saturday and Sunday. So I’ll try again, usually good after a warm rain.

We had a major fire just across the valley last year. I wanna go up and look for some myself. Definitely be carrying a big gun tho. Dem big bears be crawling out dem dens soon enough…and we got Ursus Horribilis. Grizzlies…

I'll be out this weekend in the Northern LP of MI, but I don't expect to find anything just yet. It's hard to tell, though, what this week of unseasonably warm and dry weather will do to the Black season. I don't know the conditions of the forest floor yet, hoping there was still snow cover that got melted in over the week.
We need to get back to normal temps. Last year, our yellow season was nonexistent due to a tropically hot week hitting in April.
