I've found 1 false morel before. There is a noticeable difference if you have any experience whatsoever. I've eaten all 3 types of these and have never been sick.

We had a major fire just across the valley last year. I wanna go up and look for some myself. Definitely be carrying a big gun tho. Dem big bears be crawling out dem dens soon enough…and we got Ursus Horribilis. Grizzlies…

I'll be out this weekend in the Northern LP of MI, but I don't expect to find anything just yet. It's hard to tell, though, what this week of unseasonably warm and dry weather will do to the Black season. I don't know the conditions of the forest floor yet, hoping there was still snow cover that got melted in over the week.

We need to get back to normal temps. Last year, our yellow season was nonexistent due to a tropically hot week hitting in April.
