Bought this trailer from a buddy a few weeks back. It’s 7x18’ with a 2’ dovetail on the back. I paid 1700$ cash for it which I felt like was a steal. So far I’ve painted the whole thing. Stripped the fenders down and repainted them. Replaced the lug nuts with black closed end lugs. Waiting on my weld on d rings to come in and my spare tire and a buddy to come weld the tire mount and shackles on. Also added a harbor freight tongue box and replaced the pins on the gate. Going riding this weekend and hopefully next week going to stain the floor. What do you guys think?

I would agree trailer prices are crazy. I bought a steel 18' car hauler for $2495 in 2017. Sold it with 12k miles in 2019 for $2300 about 45 minutes after I listed it. New ones are still $2495 plus tax/title

Yea well they are all built in Georgia so they are a lot cheaper down there.

no these are built in North Alabama, I’ve bought 4 from him of various sizes and a couple of friends have bought some. They are good quality, way better built than BigTex and half the price.

I've got a Big Tex 3500 lb 18 foot tandem w/ brakes with a top rail, it has been a good trailer, tires wear flat, no wiring issues, in fact no issues at all. I was pulling it when I had my head on that totaled my truck out, did wipe out one fender and two axels/tires and wheels. The dealer I bought it from did the repairs, checked the frame for straight, put it back together and it pulls like it always did. I've talked to quiet a few people that know how allot about trailers and have told me the top rail makes a trailer super rigid. Glad I have the top rail, two of the four tie down straps broke, without the top rail our S x S would have been in the back of my truck when I had the big cash.

I always thought BigTex was a good name since the price and you saw so many of them. Neighbor bought a 14k BigTex and I could make it flex 5-6" by standing on a front corner and shifting my weight. He was able to return it only after threatening them with a lawsuit his wife works at a local law firm, and picked up a 14k from the site I posted above it was half the price and rigid with no flex.
