Welcome Home!
Picked up this 21 520 from Kent Powersports in Kyle, TX for 11,700 OTD.
It's my first brand new thing ever, so pretty excited to do it up and burn some miles! 30's, snorkel, locker, and sound coming soon!

Way cool. Ours is the first thing we bought brand new too. I don't even buy cars for that much. The wife tows it with a 6 thousand dollar minivan.

First few mods underway, this will be my 4th Badlands 3500, digging the new black paint job but seems like the may have cheaped out on the contactor, now plastic cases but probably better than the old die cast pot metal ones, we will see! Also mocked up the wet sounds sound bar and some work lights I got on clearance at Northern Tool.

Hand mounted my new shoes tonight, ITP Mud Lite XL 28x10x12 and 28x12x12 on ITP Delta Steel 5+2 front 4+3 rear. Went from ~50" at both ends on Vee Rubber to ~53” on both ends on this setup. I feel like I may add spacers to the rear still, we will see. Front fitment is spot on. Will need a frame trim, which I was already planning, but after that rubbing appears to be a non issue. Snorkel pipe is in the redneck paint booth.PXL 20210527 231403822PXL 20210528 013851810PXL 20210528 020354158PXL 20210528 015318264 PXL 20210528 015359743

Snorkel is done and Toolbox is mounted.

Used 3" hole saw on the bed and the cover where the snorkel goes through. Mounted the toolbox using longer M6 bolts and drilling holes that matched the factory bed hold down bolts, got 4 holding it down.

Happy to report that with this tire and wheel combo the frame mod appears to be unnecessary to me. No rub at full lock right and ever so slight rub at full lock left. Suspension compression appears to move the point of contact further away. Will report back after serious trail riding if the rub returns.

Will install lighting and sound after roof is in, got EMP Aluminum roof en route, as well as run all vent lines back and wire from winch, only want to open up seat and skids once. Going to have all vent hoses riser at 1 spot, and have all wiring from roof going down same place.

Got the vent lines extended and the light bar mounted. Got the 4WDKING 40" LED Bar for 60 bucks on Amazon Warehouse Deals. Originally planned on mounting with Amazon 1.625 mounting clamps, which ended up being too thick to fit under the roof for the sound bar, and looked ugly to mount the light bar on front. Ended up using 5" Stainless angle brackets from Ace Hardware ($10/ ea), and drilling, trimming, shaping and bending to fit. Had to get fancy Axia Alloys clamps to mount the Wetsounds 6. Hard to swallow at 65 bucks for the pair but they are nice, made in USA, and quality pieces I reckon, what can ya do. Had a lightbulb moment while measuring it and decided to dump the clamp on mounts and use the through bolts holding the new EMP Aluminum roof on to mount the light bar. Hope to finish wiring and prettying up this week and now we ready to ride boys and girls. Got my ace fixed and sold, want to get this baby paid off then treat myself to Walker Evans and Torq Locker. Almost forgot, rerouted coolant hose for 4 Gallon Rubbermaid Mod 🙂

Got it pretty much wrapped up for now. Only added one SPDT toggle switch with a rain condom next to the headlight switch, up for light bar, down for work lights :). 2 new fuse holders and relays for light bar and sound bar, the work lights don't draw enough to warrant a relay IMO. Did the fuel filters on the vent lines, and ran all vent lines and wires under the skids and up to the roof at one spot with expanding wire loom. Still gotta work on the wireless winch controller, needs a ground or something I think to work with the Badlands 3500, works fine with remote. Also added a Voltage Gauge and 5v USB Outlet. Hoping to go ride Sunday and get muddy!
