My 20 sat outside over Christmas, so my wife could use garage to wrap in. it was -10 with wind chill it started every time I went out.

What is the bigger battery?

And yes, all models have this issue in freezing temps its a common problem. If u search it up top youll see.
Ive used an on board battery tender And plug it in when temps drop. Starts every time.

Ranchers haven't had jets since 2007?

my spider sense is imaging no tender, some draw from a clock, wireless remote, etc..... - Shazam - low voltage, hard start

my freaking 30 year old king quad has a battery at least 7+ years old, sits on a tender when not in use, always starts below 20F.....

Any quick fixes to extreme cold weather starting ? I was going to glue heating pad onto the block but really could not find a good spot. Maybe spray starting fluid something into air intake?

Mine turns over slow at -20f ( just started it last night at this temp), but always starts.

Good no ethanol fuel ( ok if always fresh) and run it up to operating temperature and it be ok. Might need to block the radiator in he sub zero temps to make it get to operating temperature (and stay).

I put a tender on mine after plowing snow, mostly for the auxiliary battery as my winch, lights, and heater are really, really hard on that battery during the winter when plowing snow.

I bought an electric battery warmer. Made a huge difference in cold starting. The colder it gets, the more cranking amps you lose. At 0 degrees your battery can lose 60% of it's power. Now consider your oil is thicker and harder to crank and you need even more battery power. I also run the Honda synthetic oil in the engine an sub trans and amsoil synthetic in the differentials. Synthetic oil has additives that help it flow better in cold weather. It was like -30 here with wind chill last year and it fired right up. It sits outside under the carport.

No substitute for CCA's in the cold.
And I might add, "quality" CCA. I bought a battery for my old Teryx a couple years ago from BatteryMart.Com.... Was supposed to be the same or better CCA than stock but every time it went below 20 degrees it would not turn over. I'd check the battery and it was full charged. Put a jumper to it and it would crank right over. No substitute for a Premium battery like Odessey...

Mine had no problem starting the last 2 mornings at -5 or lower. I think the key is to not crank the crap out of. Turn it over a couple of times, let the fuel system prime, then try again.
