I have 2018 P1k-5 and use it for the exact same purpose as you and it is fantastic. Hopefully the supply chain will start to streamline for parts and you will get it more quickly. The turf mode definitely helps with tearing up the lawn.
Yep, if you leave in 2 WD, when you turn, the rear tires are like a garden tiller. Even with turf mode you must be gentle on the accelerator when you take off. There is a lot of torque. (One of it's endearing features)
