I am just getting into the sxs thing from ohio, and i was dead set on getting a viking, but now ive been reading this great site and am thinking pioneer 700, i just have a small ranch style house, sxs will be used mostly to haul some fire wood, and plow snow in the winter, so How does it do plowing snow? should i be worried it doesnt have a low range for that? other than that it will be used the rest of the times running around the property with the kids and mulching. thanks for any feed back.

You do know that a 1000 will be out in October and November. Just saying it might be a better choice with the low gear.

Plenty of guys plow with the 700. The turf mode on the 1000 is gonna be nice for me.

have plowed with mine for 2 seasons and it works great. I have the 72 in plow. I would not go any smaller. No problem not having low gear. The 700 has great torque.

@snowslammer Welcome to the Club! Glad to see you here and going to Ride Red. Now the real hard choice P700 or P1000 either would serve you well.

Personal preference is I'd get the 4 if I'm running kids around. Why I bout the 4 and why I'm going with the 1000-5.
It's a small premium in price but the added capability is there and if you find you aren't using it to haul people you can always remove the rear Rops.

Really expensive to add it afterwards REALLY expensive.

The power is gonna be nice but there's several features I really want out of the 1000 for what I use it for. Turf mode, 6 gear DCT trans with low range, the crazy good clearance, speed sensitive EPS, 5th seatbelt and towing capacity all push me to the 1000.

Money is def a little on the high side, but it's a good deal relative to the market.

I would like the 1000. but for the use im going to pu it to for honestly id be lucky to put 200 miles a year on, plus i wana make sure the wife wont get into trouble with the power of the 1000, another reason im looking into the 700. plowing 3, 80 foot long driveways and doing yard work and hauling some fire wood occasinally will be most my use i have to balance practicallity of use to money, im not sure i would use the 1000 to a 1/4 of its potential. thanks for all the input this is a really great site!!!!!
