I wasn’t really sure where to place this thread as there does not seem to be anything in the forums directly dealing with this particular accessory. Because I’m planning on doing an extra long trip sometime this summer or late fall, I am hoping to look into the possible purchase of a side by side, tow behind trailer that I can haul extra gear with me and fuel on the long extended trail trips. I have seen some in some videos but I’m having a hard time locating some online. If any of you guys have any photographs or trailers yourselves, please feel free to post them. Here are a couple that I pulled off the Internet for basically what I’m looking for. Thank you

A quick search turned these up for me-
You might have to alter/customize to get more ground clearance, but that’s probably doable.
Not too many reasonably priced options out there. Even building your own wouldn’t be cheap. Good luck, those overland trips look fun!

These guys are in Idaho which is great but boy their prices are really high!

That's a pretty good find. Yes very pricey. The rolling chassis might be a great option to customize from. All the important stuff is done and you can build to suit.

Sometimes though you get what you pay for:

I was originally looking at some of the more expensive options as shown earlier in this thread. In the end I bought this baby for $35 on craigslist. Guy built it from a large yard cart and a minivan axle. Holding up much better to heavy loads than I ever thought it would being that it started life as a yard cart. Best money I've spent in a long time.

Aluma has some small trailers. They are aluminum which means 1/2 the weight and twice the cost of a steel one.

Guess I am just to much of a tight ass. Had a welder friend take a boat trailer and cut it down to size and add floor supports where needed. Can easily go up to 14 inch tires and haul over a thousand pounds with no problem. Don't have balloon tires on at this time as mud is not a big issue for me but could fit them on. Got bout a thousand after buying new tires and other pieces and parts plus pay for construction. No, don't have pic as it is at the hunting camp right now.

If you want a high clearance frugal (notice I didn't say cheap) tire alternative look at tractor tires. Virtually indestructible, take a lot of abuse and since.they are kind of a commodity item they are relatively inexpensive.

What I build might be more than what you are after but take a look and shoot me an email from the link if you want any details.
