has anyone shimmed the front springs on the 1000's yet? I read a good bit about the 700's doing it!
If someone has done it can they point me in the right direction or tell me parts needed?

The front shock on the P1000 are 4x better than the OEM shocks of the P700. Though I have bottomed them out on the P1K just briskly trail riding it took some serious holes that surprised me to do it. I am very happy with the ride of the P1K.

Where can i get better front shock that will fit the p1000-5??

Unfortunately you'll have to wait for a little while longer. I don't know of anyone selling any shocks yet. It can't be much longer until Honda offers an upgrade or a major shock manufacture makes a set.

When I had a pioneer 700, I bought some Polaris 900 shocks not really knowing if they were going to fit or not and made my brackets myself to give me the right amount of lift and not over extend the CVs.

I guess someone to do the same thing now. I could go buy some and make them fit but I'll wait for the properly configured set specifically made for the P1000.

Here's the pics of the shock towers I made for the P700 if you need some ideas.
