P500 P520 BED, will it fit the P500

sorry if this has already been asked i did a little searching but could not find if the new P520 cargo bed will be able to be fitted into the P500?

It would likely take some fabrication like what @906UP and @sthomp54 did below for Umax dump beds. The pivot points and dump catch on the 520 bed looks similar to @Flinterboy247 photos of his 520 bed.

Congrats and welcome. Is the dump box an assisted lift, and if so what pounds is it rated for on lift? With the 2500 winch, suggest a pulley in case you need a double line pull. Can you post a pic of the under box frame and attachment points? Thanks. Thanks, glad to be part of the club...

Check post ( New Member from Onterio Canada ) meaasge 7# picture far right.
It shows how Honda attached the box ( tubing slips into rear of frame ) hence added length of P520.
I used that same method to attach my extended rear mud guards for track system.
Going to request a better picture of that area.

Just for Sh#ts & Giggles I priced out the bed and all required parts to put one on a P5, it was close to $2K and I probably missed a few items. That did not include the new airbox that would be required along with a new exhaust to make room for the airbox so add another $800-900. Then you would need to modify the frame by removing the "post mounts" for the current rack, moving or adding the crossbar and extending the rear tubes. So in a short answer, NO.....not really.

Makes $150 for a aluminum vs plastic bed even better. I might just put my extra Umax box on Craigslist.

I ended up selling mine with the frame I built to a friend who was going to put it on his Dad's new P5. I didn't use it as much as I thought I would and it made it kinda squirrelly for Lil'906UP to trail ride.
