Quick start to this thread, the wife and I decided to take advantage of working remotely and loaded up and made the drive from Seattle to Moab. Day 1/2 did Fins and Things and Hells Revenge and some other trials here and there. I figured I’d post some pics. It’s been pretty damn fun. We move camp sites tomorrow and will be hitting a bunch more trails through the weekend.

Great pics.

I immediately noticed the spare tire way up in the air. I already feel like my P700 is top heavy on slopes. I wouldn't dream of adding weight that high up!
Maybe my tilt meter is just overly sensitive.

Shoot that’s ok, just a fun 45 second clip of dropping down that ledge in that last picture. All in all I’m neither disappointed or overly excited about how it’s done so far because it’s done what I expected. Its underpowered ( having 28” tires doesn’t help) pulling up steep grades and climbs and have to give it a good bump up ledges, But again I expected that so it’s good enough for me.

The place I am actually super happy though has been ground clearance. I have 28” tusk terrabite and P1000 springs all the way around and sway bar unbolted ( just for this trip as were on trails 90 percent of the time) we have only touched the frame 1 time and it was when I had to give it a big bump to get the rear tires up a ledge.

@Slackjaw ya I agree regarding the spare tire it’s only a temporary solution as it’s just my wife and I on this trip and I don’t full trust plug kits when we’re out in the dessert and it’s 90 degrees lol.

Great pics! I'm jeolous of your long bed and being able to take both the camper and the pioneer with. I know there's plenty of options but I sure wish my dealer would have worked harder to find me the 8' bed I wanted back in 2012 when I bought my new truck.

You ought to try some of Utah's high mountain trails this time of year. The colors are amazing

@CID ya I saw that too ha ha. I’m glad someone noticed. Had them at 14 psi dropped down to 12. But they are Tusk Terrabite tires which do have more of a arc rather than a squared off radius so they will always kind of do that.

I have a buddy who is an off road expert. When we were in Moab recently he took my tires down to 10 psi. It really made a difference. The ride was much less bumpy.

I've got the crew cab version of that truck and wondered whether I could get my P700 into the bed. Your picture answers my question. Did you have to do anything special to get it up there? Did anything drag over the truck's tire wells?

We did F&T in early June but in a jeep - wife drove all morning following a guide. Had her doing things you'd never believe - she did great once she settled down. Didn't have our 700-4 with us. We are going back at end of Oct with the atv. Have much trouble with any steep climbs? None are really long and the steep downhills one can walk it down.

Sorry for the late response! Ended up doing Fins and Things, Hells Revenge, 7 mile Rim Trail, and bunch more. As for steep climbs we didn’t run into to many issues. Just have to ride the brakes since there is no low range. I can saw it would have been better to have one.
