Did my first oil change last week, found the worst part is getting that plastic rivet in and out between the rear seats. Is there some trick i am not aware of or does is it just a PITA?

Talking about this guy, with inadequate clearance to get it in/out:

I use a push pin removal tool looks like a nail puller. Also push the pin in with a nail first

The problem is mostly putting the rivet back in without mangling it. There just isn't near enough clearance to get the rivet vertical before pressing it into place.

Do you not have the bed raised/dumped? Looks like the bed bar between the seats.

I've removed that rivet several times now. Without an issue.

Like Plumber says, push Center down then lift out.

To reinstall, I raise the center of the rivet 1/2 way above the outer ring.
Pinch in at the bottom as I guide it down into place. Then use my finger to snap it down flush.

Unless, Snuff sees the real problem. Lol (he probably does).

GREAT JOB on the pic edit (pink circle) btw @scottf
