The Pioneers on the Paiute was a very nice scenic adventure. I think we made it close to 12000 feet elevation and I could feel I was short breath. The mountain views were some of the best around.

But...
Being so so close to the off road capital we could not help but made a detour for a day or so. Some went before, some went after. Here are pictures of those adventures in Moab.

I have never ridden something as unforgiving and beautiful as some of those trails. The difficult trails aren’t for the faint of heart or those scared of heights. Some off camber areas with straight 500 foot drops. Very rewarding when you finish though. Even if it’s night time and JTW is yelling at everyone haha!

Honda Pioneer 1000 takes on Double Whammy at Moab and fails!
Hard hit exposes weak point as the propeller shaft snaps leaving only front wheel drive. Club member JTW was able to make it out continuing the path under its own power with only a few sections needing assistance.

Point of failure.
- 40200-HL4-A00 SHAFT ASSY., RR. PROPELLER
- 41330-HL4-A00 JOINT, RR. PINION

Looks awesome, MOAB is on my bucket list just didn't have time to stop by after being away for 11 days already. Made it to Salina KS just before midnight, should be home late tomorrow 925+ miles each day.

How would the I4WD drive in this situation where the back drive shaft is broke I wonder? Would it be trying to apply brakes on the front wheels as they are the only ones spinning?

Front to rear shouldn't matter but if you brake a CV and the axle just spins?
