P1000 plastic swap, need help with colors

I'm looking to change color of my 1000-5 deluxe. Either grey or white. The plastics for 2021 "Vapor White" are over $1000. So I see 2016 has a "ross white" is this basically the same color? Looks like these plastics will be under $400. Also does anybody have the "Nemesis silver metallic" that was on the deluxe on 2016? These plastics are similar to price just wondering what the color looks like. Unsure when i'm googling if i'm looking at the 2018 LE grey. My last resort would be a full vinyl wrap for $500.

The Vapor white has more grey to it. When I ordered and paid for my white plastic, the 2021 was $20 cheaper total. Unfortunately, I ordered November 3rd 2020 and recieved the front fenders and rear door panels. The front doors and bed panels are still on backorder over a year later.

You can, some do, but the colored panels are color core vs. If you paint them they'll likely get scratched and/or peel. The OEM panels obviously still get scratched but stay said color.

Understood (I knew that!), but given the cost of the new color panels, having to touch up paint once in a while seems like a worthwhile trade-off.

Yes, I'm parsimonious, I sweat the small stuff (that way I can afford the big stuff!).

Well they have gotten pricey, cpl years ago you I bought a full set of the fastest color there is and it was only about $280.
And while ot may work for some, painting it wouldn't have work for us. My buggy brings back a few new scuffs or scratches everytime it leaves the garage 😂😂😂

I don't have that problem. I push it out of the garage, walk all around admiring it, dust it off and push it back in again.
What's wrong with you people?!

Could one of you fine posters provide a link for these panels? On my PK3 deluxe ia have the blue. Wife likes it so no permanent changes.

@Hondasxs did you ever sell those back panels?

Go to a sign shop and get them to wrap it. That good 3M or Avery plastic isnt' cheap though. I think costs about $10/linear foot in CAD. If they have a print cut machine, they could print whatever you want on it too. That stuff is fairly robust too. Then if wreck one, just have the printer redo the one you need.

I can get someone to wrap it for $500 just a tad more than plastics. But I would probably just still do a simple gray wrap. So do you think I should go with the wrap and get exact color of gray I want or buy new plastics?

Up to you, really. Do you want to be able to easily swap between the colors? Can't do that with just one set.

We are trying to get the same panels. Have you received your order yet? TIA
