I'm sure a bunch of you fellas have seen the portals on the 1k's, but due to popular demand we've released kits for the 700 and 500 now. Come play with the big boys!

If only for the 2014 700-4. What is the difference between a 2014 and 2015? Would the 2015 set work for my machine?

Yeah, I can't remember what prevented it from bolting up to the 2014 model, but its not going to be a direct fitment. Not positive, but its often caused by the braking system. Maybe a different caliper mount needed along with different brake lines. That's usually the case.

I also am curious about if they will fit my 14 and how much better is the billet over cast

Good question! I'll have to dig into that. I'd assume they would, but no guarantees because we list it as starting with the 2015 model...unless it was one of those things where it came out in 2014, but is considered the 2015 model. I'll do some digging and report back tomorrow.

Billet aluminum is always going to be stronger than cast steel, but I don't know the actual percentage stronger. Its not a huge difference. Billet is better...and sooo pretty, but if you're counting pennies...there's nothing wrong with the cast. They both have a LIFETIME WARRANTY.

cast will crack . billet will scar. think bashing a rock on a portal would you rather a crack or a bent side.

Billet is the way to go, CNC machine from a block of AL. I was in the Aluminum Business for many years! Go Big or Go Home! If, I didn't have so many other needs I would bite on this.

Hey man! Unfortunately we're only making the 4" portals for the 700 and 500 models at this time. They have more tire size limitation, and you would have to have some crazy custom lift to get the wheels and tires necessary for the 6" portals. Those 4"s bolt right up though!
