@aauman88 can probably shed some light on this for you; he's got a nice mud/trail rig. Don't think there are many others on the forum that run the portal setup.

Yeah as much as I hate to I think I’m going to get back on Facebook Bc I think the pioneer forums on there are more active.

It's the same s*** over and over. If that's what you mean by active, anyway. Go take a look at @aauman88 build thread:

@DDDonkey runs a portal setup on 35's I believe as well so he may be able to chime in.

35’s will scrub slightly with CFab and 4” portals. TTC 3” lift and 4” portals will clear 38’s. Here is TTC 3” and 6” portals with 40’s

My 38’s were wide BKT’s and my 40’s are 10.5” wide. Yes I have 45% now but the 30% did great with 38’s but mine is tuned

My first set up with portals was the SATV front/rear a-arms with 814 shocks, and 35s and I rubbed at full lock and at full compression. I now run TTC front a-arms with no lift and SATV rear a-arms and have no issues at all with rubbing. I am running the system 3 XCR 350 tires so they are the more squared off version.

If you would like I can take a picture of my old bulk head to show you where I rubbed, it was at the very out side edge.

Portals were the most fun mod I have done to date and I live in the desert. Also @SuperATV stands behind their portals, I put a hole in one and they covered it no questions asked and sent me a new portal the same week they received the old one. The new portal included the seal, and bearings which I figured I would have to cover but didn't.

So if I'm reading this correctly, with SATV front and rear arms and 6" portals, my 35x8.5x22 Motohavoks on 22x7 wheels will possibly fit without rubbing up front? Seems the extra 2" of portal should help the minor rubbing that DDDonkey experienced if I'm thinking straight, unless he had 6" and then I'm screwed. Any idea what the top speed would possibly look like with that setup and a 30% reduction? I have a 21 Limited, so I'm "Limited" as to what I can do lift wise. This will be my first set of portals on my first side by side, so I'm just trying to get some more info on it from a previous owner's standpoint. Thanks!

That’s awesome! I’m running in that general area now with 28’s and a full windshield, so it sounds like I’ll be pretty close to stock speeds after the build. I really appreciate it!
