Do you have a torq locker? Cause you need one. Your steering will be too easy with the PS, so you need the locker to balance that out.

No I don't have a locker. To be honest haven't even put it in 4 wheel drive. I know it's just money and I can't take it with me so I might need to get one to even everything out😂.

Yup, gotta get a locker. Then of course, you need new/bigger tires, cuz with true 4 wheel drive now, your stock tires are the limiting factor. (Assuming you havn't already gotten tires).
Then you need a stronger skid plate, because of all those unseen rocks and things you might hit in the bigger holes that you're driving in, from the tires and locker and steering.

THEN, you need front/rear windshields, to save you from mud splashes, and dust clouds. Might as well get a roof as well, in case it rains.
I've spent more time modding my P500 then actually driving it I think... o_O

Love my power steering, and so does my wife...“it’s like driving the car”, she says. Dealer had it installed along with the 26” tires before I purchased it. Can’t wait to get the torq locker, I‘ll need it for the spring thaw.

Pretty true... I would love to spend more time on mine, but between not having a good place to ride, shorter days, a new puppy and working, I just don't get as much time on my P520 as I would like.

This winter will be rough, I want to add power steering, better skids and the locker. Most of the other stuff is done already.

I also have the Tusk power steering... one of my favorite mods. I also installed the locker, relatively close to my power steering install. Makes a huge difference, absolutely enhances the ride quality and enjoyment. I have a list of more mods for the winter, just hoping I get to take more rides soon also.

Can we get some pictures of the power steering installed?

EZ Steer installation if anyone is interested.
Not needed sure, but nice to have when doing a three-point turnaround on a tight trail.

I really can't understand the need for power steering. I don't have any trouble steering mine.
Work a crappy trucking job for too many years, ruin your left shoulder and right elbow, get old, and you'll understand 🤣

Plus, like @trigger said, helps for the 50-point turns and bump steer.

I'll also add, its nice to be able to steer it 1-handed while plowing the driveway and drinking my coffee.

Yeah, I didn't even think about the plowing situation with it being the middle of summer and all. It does help with that too, lifting and lowering the blade with the switch with one hand and steering with the other. Again, not necessary but anything that makes the job faster and easier... especially when freezing your ass off. 🥶

Installed PS on the Dozer mmm last year (I think) after owning since fall of 2014. Easy peasy install linked to auxiliary battery under the hood. Nice feature for sure. Just to let you know what a PITA it is without (o’course once you’ve had it), mine quit the other day and is intermittent… feels like a severe inconvenience mahahaha, especially in tight quarters.. Gah! On mine the issue is the power wire to the steering unit came loose at the auxiliary battery. Hahaha was pretty disappointed till I looked under hood and into aux battery compartment. Heh.

So do you really need power steering, whelp nope… does it make a significant difference, yup totally. Much easier to light cigz, drink, throw cans, shoot (all while driving one handed) and generally be a nuisance in the forest…
Cheers
