Busted the ball joint and had to order one. I don't have a press so I borrowed the ball joint press from local auto store. There is a Honda adapter kit that is needed. I didn't get it till after I busted one lower ball joint. After getting the adapter it went a lot smoother. Live and learn...

The adapter collar in a regular kit is too big by a hair. The Honda adapter is the proper size and goes 2/3 of the way around the plate the ball joint fits. I tried using the sleeve in the litany got the ball joint pushing a lil side ways and popped the cap off of it. Wish I'd taken pics....

I used a shop press and some sockets......

But if you have access to the proper tools, that would probably be better to use.

what size sockets were those? 6 or 12pt?

1 7/16 and 42 mm. They are both 6 point. There is probably a closer fit but my socket selection is slim on those large sizes. I usually buy just the one I need.

The width stayed the same in the front and back. I was able to reuse the stock axles.
