I HAVE NOT TRIED BUT IT IS ADJUSTABLE

Hmmm that does appear to be very flexible. My elk gun is a Tikka .338 Fed with a kevlar stock and it's fairly light and short so I was planning an overhead rack of some sort with room for an AR pistol in 6.8 as well but it needs to securely hold them 'cuz I don't want them on my head following a bump. Getting one out from behind me seems ackward but I need to play with the options before I'll feel comfortable with how to proceed. Spruce chicken gun is a little Thompson Center single shot .22LR pistol with a 6" barrel so it can ride on the seat. So many options...so little time.
