I have been searching rear bumpers for several weeks. It seems the one I need, ie very well made and very strong, are all over 1K. The ones less than 1K are just too plain. What I want see are what my fellow members have crafted themselves. Please include pics. My 1000-5 will be in my hunting business next season and seen by many customers, so it must be bada$$. Since I will be fabricating this, I’m looking for ideas I have not thought of.

What do you want the bumper to do?
Survive 20 year olds driving it deep in the woods. Needs to be able to survive being backed into a tree as well as farm equipment. I need something a 300 lb man can stand, lean, or sit on without it bending. I need pull out shackles and prefer it to have diamond plate to match the brush guard. LineX coating will be the finish.

Since you're using this in your business and need it to send a bada$$ image, buy anything you want and write it off.

Yeah I know that, the problem is I don’t really like the commercial stuff, too flimsy. The only one I have found that’s actually fit a 1000-5, and strong is Ranch Armour and it’s 1600.00 to my door. That’s not going to happen. So I,m designing one, and I have that skill set

Those are some fine looking bumpers. I was thinking about this one. Not to bad of a price at $224. The reviews are good. What you guy think about it. Mainly just want it to look good and to protect against sliding or backing into a tree.

It greatly worries me the way it connects to the tailgate hardware. Slam into something and you could be repairing a lot of tailgate and side panel metal.

I think it bolts up to the bolt holes in the back of the frame or at least it should. I seen a few where you have to drill holes in your bed. So I didn’t want to do that and found this on. I was thinking of hav one fabricated to bolt to the 4 holes at the end of the frame. Might be something they added it’s new 2022 1000 pioneer

That’s what I’m going to do, fab one. I think it’s going to be a weird angle on it to allow for the bed to dump. There are some bumpers out there that attach where the tailgate rod pin holds the bumper brackets. That’s a big problem waiting to happen. I’ve seen others that release the bumper with 2 pins so the bed can dump. I don’t like those either. There is just not that much out there to chose from.
