P1000 Rear Hitch Question

So i noticed last night that the 2" receiver for the rear is drilled up and down with the pin. AKA instead of putting the pin in the side(like in your trucks receiver) you put it in from the top to bottom. Is everyone's like this? Also where in the hell do you get a hitch that will work? Unless you drill a hole in the hitch i don't know how i can haul my trailer!

I noticed that too. But that is definitely not even the right machine they show in that picture.

Yeah that's the setup i have. I know there is not two hole son the sides. Maybe you are the one with the Friday model.....Lucky. Now i will half to drill holes i a hitch. Doesn't really make sense up and down. Good old Honda always has to be different.

Check behind that first bracket. Between the two mount brackets.

I remember because I didn't have a clip on my pin and it worked out 1/2 way.

At first I figured they welded yours sideways.
Idk. I'll have to look later.

Crazy if yours is not there. Lol.

The pinhole that you guys are looking for is in between the two flanges. I had that oh crap moment day before yesterday when I brought my new pioneer 1000/5 base model home myself.

mine has both the hole up and down first then side to side you just have to look harder for the one on the side.

I was also freeked out when I first got the rig. What the heck kind of hitch do you have to find? Was relieved after found the regular holes further back. Also bought hitch extender to easier hook up trailers and doesn't interfere with my street legal license plate.
