P1000m5 Remi’s Stroker 30 Build And Other Cool Bs!

Remington submitted a new Garage Item:

Remmy's Stroker 30 Build
And Other Bs!

Sorry for the late build fellas. I must say with work, honey do's and owning a cabin that like another house, it take up a lot of your time! Now that bow hunting season is upon us, more time will be taken up in a good way
This all started when I wanted a SXS to go along with my 2 ATV's and my property/cabin in the great northern woods of northern lower Michigan. There we have some nice trails outside my cabin door. The other was for hunting and general work around the cabin and home. I owned a nice 02' jeep TJ that I fixed up and never really used it that much not to mention the insurance sucks on those! So I convicted my wife of 16 yrs if I sold it I could get a SXS. Now I've owned Polaris ATV's for sometime, and a 2000 Honda Forman that the wife drives. After selling the jeep, I went to looking for a SXS. I wanted a Polaris general, needless to say, nice seats but wasn't impressed. Then I got into a P100-5 and WOW!! I was hooked, and so begins this Journey.

She looked like this when I found her! Needed some wheels

Mines about to get cut down next week. Do you have any close up pics of the grab rail on passenger side. I think going down 4" on mine but looks like might be into that grab rail section. Curious how yours came out.
This is about as close as i get u a pic at the moment. The SATV flip lower half windshield will fit. I cut 4-1/2” off the cage all the way around. Id cut the dam handle off but my tiny little wife like to have it so it stays.

Up at the cabin this weekend and got a chance to get the P1 out after the cage chop. We cut and split and stacked 5 cords of wood. Best time to do that up here when the snow is mostly gone, no foliage and cooler temps. Machine hauled all the wood we cut and the cage chop was nice to drive with. Just need to put the top on and the rest if the windshield and should be good.

We got all the wood stacked in the lean too and all the scraps burned. The pioneer was great hauling the large logs. Good times with some buddys, fireball and beer!

Got back home this evening and decided, what the hell... im gona put my hard top on.
had to make a few adjustments that @joeymt33 told me i would have to make to the middle bracket and the rear in order to fit cuz my chop is exactly the same as his. Basically extending the rear bracket and removing the middle bracket and moving it about 1/2 further back and having to drill a few holes for it to fit. The end result was BA! Fits great and its ready to rock! Now for some other quirks not related to the chop top to get done.

That looks so much better.

How’s the handling? Can you notice a lower CG?

Yes it does look chit tons better!

The handling is a lot better, not so topsy terby feeling and more rigid. Now i just need to add some bars from the brush guard to the A pillar. 😎

So some spring cleaning lol.
had an Auxbeam 12” LED bar that finally after 4 years of muck started taking water. So i had a credit with lifetime LED and got this 12” bar. Had to re locate it to the top cuz the brackets would not allow me to put it low like the other one. So far the bugger is bright. Will see how it holds up in the muck

Another spring cleaning project ive been working on is my dual battery situation. My Odyssey 2nd batt expanded but did not explode. So i needed a way to rectify this situation. Answer, a small float charger/tender to mount under the hood to take care of both batteries while on dry doc. Then I still needed something to stop the battery from being damaged if i leave an accessory on for a period of time when drinking 😁 or just Rockin out 🤟. I got with my good friend @joeymt33 and he gave me an idea that he uses. A Blue Sea m-LVD low voltage disconnect. You set it up in series with your secondary battery and whatever accessory's you have hooked up to my case a large braker and the voltage not to drop below as in my case i set it for 11.1vdc and it will shut the system down so u dont drop to the dreaded 10vdc or below witch is starting certain death to a battery.

Pics are of the charger.
