P1000m5 Riding the Ridge

Yesterday, (12-30) we rode at a park called "The Ridge" in Springville AL. We had two pioneers and a Rincon. I had 2 passengers and the other pioneer had 3. @ohanacreek and @downske we're the only Hondasxs members there today. It's not a bad place to go. They have lots to do there other than riding. They got:

Motorcross tracks
Kids tracks
Zip lines
Rappelling
Camping

This is my first time there and I didn't have the opportunity to check everything out. But they charge $15 to ride and supposedly there's 35 miles of trails. We covered 20 miles in a day but probably only saw 10 miles of trails as we did backtrack some. The trails are well-maintained and you can drive fast if you like, also the trails are marked one way so you don't have to worry about oncoming traffic. Some of the black trails obviously are not meant for speed but there was some things they're fairly challenging.

I would like to go back there next week on Wednesday but they are only open Friday Saturday and Sunday.

So, hint hint. I'm looking for a place to ride Wednesday.

I'll start posting videos as I get them uploaded. I wouldn't expect the same kind of excitement we see at bull run but this was a family ride with little children.

We did have one close call. This hill was deceivingly steep and off camber.

We found this little rock Hill that was a lot of fun so we drove up it six or seven times.

I sure would like to. I grew up in Russellville and the whole fam is from there. I'm still a Razorback even though we suck in the second half.

It's just hard for me to travel far for rides as I travel for work too, so the boss isn't happy when I get home and leave her again for a couple days.

I'm just glad the bungee kept the sound system from flying off the back! When in doubt, gas it out....correct?

Another ride at The Ridge over the weekend. My brother took The Farm Rig and @ohanacreek took his new rig.

We had a fun time for just a short Sunday afternoon ride.
