30x9.5x15 bfg or federal cougaria. Those are a bit lighter than the BFG and cheap great all around tires.

Don't get me wrong I think BFGs are a great tire for guys who use their trucks off road less than 30% of the time. The wear amazingly well, I get about 50-60k out of a set of KO2 and have excellent AT traction.

If I was gonna pick up a BFG for Pioneer I'd go for a MudTerrain, but I can get a DOT tire that has basically the same tread pattern with a more flexible tread and lighter tire in the Terrabite at a lower price. However for what I use it for I'm not sure that tire would suit my needs.

I need a solid jack of all trades, master of none tire.

I keep leaning toward the Evos because I had them on my 700 and they worked really well.

Now that I know for sure a tire will fit I need to look at all my options that fit physically.
Toddacimer just put a set of 28 on his...said rhey run 1inch short. Im gonna order 30s. 2wheel.com has the cheapest price on them ive found yet. 548 free shipping on the 30x10x14

Picked up this radio (UV-25X2) for $80, on Amazon warehouse deal. Had to move my Fire Extinguisher to mount it within reach.

I had a couple of 5Rs and using a good antenna they could pick up really well but didn't have the power to reach out at all. I also couldn't hear them when I was riding. This is MUCH louder and it has a speaker output.

This is actually a decently feature rich radio for the price. Have to see how well it works before final verdict.

With some of the HAM radios you can create "groups" so you're only hearing your group talk the radios will not acknowledge any other group codes. Some of the FRS radios will also do it.

I programmed it with all the public radio channels. I'll keep it on low power until I need to reach out and I can bump it up if need be.

It also lets you monitor 4 channels vs two on the UV-5R, which can come in handy on job sites for me.

So got everything unpacked and did a quick wash after the Overland trip so I could do some yard work and not have half of Tennessee on me.

Checked all the fluids, axels, joints, bolts and wires.

Besides a little rock rash on the rims, this is the only damage I could find.

Thanks, I do to wish I had more time using it, not sure if it was worth it yet.

It should transmit better than the 5R I had but not enough real world use yet.

My small baofengs both pick up some kind of electrical interference right now with my accessories. @Ragnar406 and I played with it a little last time I was out. It’s so annoying I can’t keep the radios on very long because of all the static.

My rear light bar puts out some fierce electrical noise.

Fronts ones put out some but nowhere near the noise from the rear. I had one on my 700 that would put noise in my speakers even without the radio on.

So after any good ride you realize all your great ideas were absolute crap.

The $60 I spent on various apps to use an apple product for trail mapping was a complete bust, you can't load in the base maps and the apps crash constantly.

I picked up a refurbished Garmin Drive 60 from Amazon, loaded the North Cumberland Trail Maps 2.3 and Prentiss Cooper Trails from GPSFiledepot. They were a bit dated in March when I was using them on my Zumo 550 which has a screen about half the size of the Drive 60. Its not water proof like my Zumo's but its also not $750 like the new Zumo.

I also decided that the backup lights I had moved to the muffler bolts were in the wrong place, looked like crap, shook, and caused the muffler to squeak more.

So I grabbed some white rock lights, to copy @Koda or @sugarray and put them on the corners of the bed. Then I realized I’d have to feed the wires through the plastic and around and they’d get covered with mud.

They came with a roll bar base, so I just bolted them directly to the bar the bed pivots around.

A lot cleaner than the cubes and maybe I won’t be blinding people who are behind me as much like I did with the cubes mounted to the muffler.

Seeing that the rock lights came with a roll bar base, I went ahead and ordered a pair of red one to use for dome lights the LED strips I had were low quality, one stopped working on the Overland trip, harsh white light and killed your night vision, and they kept peeling off the roof. Bolted these directly to the ROPS using nutcerts, they are MUCH easier on the eyes at night. Just need to pick up soldering iron tip so I can get them permanent wired in.

I may pick up a few more of these for actual rock lights, I’m going to clean up the wiring under the hood as well as run wire to the rear winch location for feed and control, and wires to the location I think I am going to install the PCV so I can swap fuel between two maps on the fly, since I'll have everything apart anyway. Going to rearrange my switches in the panel since I was hitting ones I didn't want to hit while trying to turn the light bar off to keep from blinding people, as well as add ones for the rock lights, hardwired VIRB power, rear winch, and a way to chose which winch the wireless remote will control. Since the RAM mount is coming off the dash I’ll have more space to put the switches in a new switch bezel I ordered from @mystic1219.

It’s hidden, it’s UNDER the footwell plastic inside the mainframe rails behind the verticals brace , you really need to take the plastic off to do a proper electrical connection unless you buy the backup alarm wiring harness.

As soon as I get done working, I’m gonna go wire them up and test them out.

Take the drivers side rear footwell plastic off it is hidden under it, its there it took me saying "Where the hell is that thing!?!?!?" 3 or 4 times and throwing some tools to find it
