Day 4 with no power and roads not scraped so power company can get to downed lines, it is time I take care of thing myself!

What is a good quality snow plow for the P1000 ?
Also 66 inch or 72?

I installed a 72" KFI but haven't used it yet. I have plowed for years with an ATV plow - Moose. I like some of the KFI design features better. I am waiting on an Alumalite Armor cab and once installed I'll try to post some photos of my setup. We are starting to get a little snow here in Montana but I haven't had enough to even try the plow yet.

Was this universal instal or did it come with a machine specific mount?

Pretty sure machine specific but mounts to 4 factory holes & is simple. Most of assembly is plow & it's not difficult as long as you have the winch installed already. If no winch then it becomes a bigger job right out of the gate.

I already have a 4500 viper synthetic rope winch installed. Looking at the KFO online now. Do you plow with chains or just tires?

Also found a Denali pro plow at side by side stuff. It says it does not fit the 2018 pioneer. Wonder what's different?

Grab whatever 72" blade fits your fancy. The vehicle mount might need to be modified depending on what winch mount you use.

I am using a 72" Tusk plow. I had to modify the vehicle mount to remove a few ears. I went with the decision to modify the plow mount vs winch mount due to plow mount only being used a few months of the year.

I just ordered a 72" ClicknGo2 from Kimpex. Take a look at them on youtube, they have some really neat features.

I have had Moose, cycle country and now Warn on ATV'S in the past. I installed a Denali pro purchased from here on a neighbor's P700 last weekend. It is by far the heaviest, best plow I've seen in the ATV/SXS market for the price point. Obviously there are better commercial V-Plows out there in the over $3,000.00 price range, but I would absolutely buy the Denali pro for my P1K5 if we had more snow. I was happy with the Warn provantage on my Rancher until I saw the Denali in person.

They are all the same. I doubt the manufacturer has been updated, unless they specifically state not for 18.

Do the Denali have a steel bottom wear lip or urethane?

I am not sure. I see they have a plastic wearbar/scraper as an add-on. Judging by the pictures I have seen, They come standard with a steel wear bar, plastic is an upgrade/option.

I have a 72" KFI. Picked it for now reason other than my dealer had it in stock and my service agreement gave me 10% off plus free install.

As I recall the next size down would have been narrower than the wheel width when angled.

I do regret not getting a UHMW wear bar and I need to remedy that soon. Might just find an online distributor that can sell me a full sheet already CNC cut for easier shipping. I'll just drill holes and rip bevels if I think it's necessary. One complaint about the stock reversible UHMW wear bars is that they're a bit short so I can have them ripped to whatever width I want.

The features I like about the KFI include a reversible steel wear bar, factory mount fit exactly without any modifications, winch mounting connection has 4 alternate mounting points to accommodate different winch/bumper heights or locations & the blade appears to be well made. It also came with a top flap which is an extra with several other brands. As to the function...I'll report on that in a couple weeks. Based on my previous plowing experiences...it looks like it will be great.

I have the Warn 72". Pro: it's wider than the machine when tilted for a fully cleared plow swath. Con: it is WAY too heavy for the front suspension. It squats the front down even when it's fully laid on the ground at rest. Luckily I don't do any appreciable driving with the plow attached, and it detaches very easily.
