I have read several places where you all are spinning the lower shock on rear to place the guard at the rear of the machine but haven't seen any photos could someone show me this it seems to me the swaybar would hit

I don't think you can on the R, not enough clearance from the sway swaybar link and even if you could, i would not do it. See this post...
